More October Fun: dineLA, HKitty, and the Food Event

dineLA week has been extended till Friday (maybe we'll hit up one more restaurant...), Hello Kitty weighs Three Apples (girl, how you keep the weight down?!), and a culinary extravaganza:

Late notice, but if you're looking to save a few Jacksons, be sure to take advantage of dineLA Restaurant Week before it ends Friday. Over 200 restaurants in the LA County are still offering specially priced three-course meals.

Hello Kitty is turning 35, and we are celebrating all things Sanrio by attending Three Apples: An Exhibition Celebrating 35 Years of Hello Kitty at Royal/T Cafe/ Shop /Art Space. The three-week exhibit and its various events will be opened to the public free of charge from October 23 to November 15. Though I'm intrigued by the Hello Kitty Art Exhibit and the Hello Kitty Apartment, what I'm most thrilled and curious about is the Hello Kitty-themed menu that will be offered at Royal/T's maid cafe. For more information about the event, the Hello Kitty Fan Appreciation Party on October 24 or the Hello Kitty Birthday party on November 1, check out the website.

Los Angeles Magazine is hosting The Food Event, a culinary extravaganza taking place at the beautiful vineyards of Saddlerock Ranch in the Malibu Hills on October 25 from 1-4 pm. Ludo Lefebvre (Ludobites), John Sedlar (Rivera), Ilan Hall (Top Chef Season 2 Winner), Marcel Vigneron (Top Chef Season 2 Runner Up) are just some of the celebrity chefs who will be giving cooking demonstrations. Twenty-five of Los Angeles' top restaurants and 25 top wineries will be offering sampling and tastings. The Food Event sounds like a foodie dream. Details and prices here.
